Vacancy for Trustee with third sector experience, 8 December 2022

The Agnes Hunter Trust SCIO is seeking a committed individual with a good working knowledge of the Scottish Third Sector to join the Board.

The Trust has an annual grants budget of around £550,000/yr, to assist charities’ service delivery and core costs, and strives towards open and trusting grant-giving practice.

We wish to appoint a Trustee who understands the challenges facing charities in the current climate and, ideally, has direct third sector knowledge – perhaps working as a service provider and/or an individual with lived experience. Sound knowledge of charity governance would also be advantageous. Training and mentoring is available.

The current Board of 7 members meets in Edinburgh (typically 4-5 meetings/yr), either online or in person. The initial tenure is for 5 years, renewable for a further 3 years.
