Vacancy for Trustee with third sector experience, 5 February 2024

In order to maintain our range of relevant skills and experience at Trustee-level, we are seeking a committed individual with direct working knowledge of the third sector to join the Board. As a funder, we wish to appoint a Trustee who understands the challenges facing the charities we support – perhaps someone working as a service provider and/or an individual with direct or indirect lived experience of disability.

Sound knowledge of charity governance would also be advantageous, however previous Board/ Trustee experience is not essential and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. Training and mentoring can be provided

The current Board of 7 members meets in Edinburgh 4-5 times per year for half-day sessions, plus other ad-hoc meetings online or in-person. The initial tenure is for 5 years, renewable for a further 3 years. The position is voluntary but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
