The Agnes Hunter Trust SCIO is seeking a committed individual with a good working knowledge of the Scottish Third Sector to join the Board.<\/p>\n
The Trust has an annual grants budget of around \u00a3550,000\/yr, to assist charities\u2019 service delivery and core costs, and strives towards open and trusting grant-giving practice.<\/p>\n
We wish to appoint a Trustee who understands the challenges facing charities in the current climate and, ideally, has direct third sector knowledge \u2013 perhaps working as a service provider and\/or an individual with lived experience. Sound knowledge of charity governance would also be advantageous. Training and mentoring is available.<\/p>\n
The current Board of 7 members meets in Edinburgh (typically 4-5 meetings\/yr), either online or in person. The initial tenure is for 5 years, renewable for a further 3 years.<\/p>\n
